Sitech's Fire Service is one of the largest and most expert emergency response teams in the Netherlands. Our primary duties include fire-fighting, suppression of toxic clouds or chemical hazard, first aid and rescue. We also coordinate all of our actions with local and regional authorities. We strive to minimise economic cost and environmental damage when performing any of our activities – and with this in mind, we have prepared a number of incident response scenarios adapted to local conditions.
The Fire Service complies with all relevant regulations and recommendations concerning personal safety, equipment and training. This includes the establishment of an on-site First Aid Centre.
After-hours incident response
Because our response teams are continuously on standby, assistance can be provided quickly, accurately and efficiently to solve any mechanical failures in Chemelot factories – including those occurring outside normal operating hours.
